Honoring the Healers: Doctor's Day Celebration at SHRC
Theme, "Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?" highlights the emotional and mental struggles faced by Healthcare Professionals.
In the quiet corridors of care, in every heartbeat they restore, Doctors are not just Medical Professionals—they are the beating heart of healing. At Saraswati Hospital & Research Centre (SHRC), we believe that OUR HEROES deserve more than gratitude; they deserve celebration. That’s exactly what we did on Doctor’s Day 01 JULY 2025, and what a beautiful, heartfelt day it was!!!!
The celebration kicked off with a floral welcome to our Respected President Dr. Rajat Mathur and Respected Director Mrs. Smita Matthur, dedicated team of Doctors.
Dr. Rajeev Kapoor: Medical Superintendent and Consultant- General Medicine, Dr. Prakash Kumar Sharma: Intensivist, Dr. Shreya Singh: Consultant- Ophthalmology, Dr. Mridula Kapoor: Consultant- Pediatrics, Dr. Anuradha Tiwari: Consultant- Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Ankit Kumar Mishra: Consultant- General Surgery, Dr. Rajendra Kumar: Consultant- Orthopedics, Dr. Aseem Ahmad: Consultant- Oto- Rhino-Laryngology (ENT), Dr. Anupama- Clinical Coordinator, Medical Officers followed by a short inaugural speech by our Medical Superintendent, who reminded us how doctors don’t just treat patients—they inspire hope, nurture trust, and offer silent strength during the most uncertain moments of life.
The highlight of the day was a special appreciation ceremony, where Senior Consultants, Resident Doctors, and specialists across departments were recognized for their contribution—not just in treatment, but in mentorship, innovation, and service during critical cases. From emergency care to surgery, gynecology to cardiology, every department stood tall.
We also saw the lighter side of our heroes through cultural performances prepared by our Nursing Staff and Interns. A soulful poem titled “The White Coat Warrior” brought many to tears, and a fun skit portraying a day in a Doctor's life added smiles all around. It was a reminder that behind every white coat is a human being with humor, heart, and humility.
To make the occasion even more memorable, SHRC launched its "Wellness for Healers" initiative, a year-long internal campaign focusing on mental health, work-life balance, and peer support for doctors and clinical staff. Because those who heal us, also deserve healing.
The event concluded with a group cake-cutting, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and a surprise video montage featuring patient testimonials—real people whose lives were saved and transformed under the care of SHRC's medical team.
Doctor’s Day at SHRC wasn’t just an event—it was a tribute. A reminder that every prescription written, every surgery performed, and every late-night consultation is a chapter in the story of human compassion.
